Help Students Participate, Build Skills, and Gain Independence.

From using classroom materials to participating in daily routines, everyday activities are an essential part of school. At Candor Consulting & Diagnostics, your clinical expertise helps students develop skills and access the support they need to participate with greater confidence and independence.

We’re hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist who brings creativity, thoughtful assessment, and a collaborative approach to serving students. Join a team that values your professional judgment, supports your growth, and understands that your life outside work matters, too.

Why Join Candor?

You invest your time and talent in helping students succeed. Here’s how we invest in you:

  • Competitive hourly pay: Starting at $50.00 per hour, with compensation for all time worked.

  • Comprehensive benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options for eligible employees.

  • Support for your future: A 401(k) plan with matching contributions for eligible employees.

  • Professional growth: Mentorship opportunities and professional development reimbursement to help you strengthen your skills and advance your practice.

  • Referral rewards: Earn up to $1,000 in referral bonuses when you help us connect with talented professionals.

  • A supportive team: Work with educators and related service professionals who value collaboration, student progress, and the expertise you bring.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you’ll help students build functional skills and participate more fully in their educational environment. You will:

  • Understand each student’s needs. Conduct occupational therapy assessments to identify strengths, barriers to participation, and needs for related services, providing recommendations to the educational team.

  • Make findings meaningful. Explain evaluation results to parents, educators, and district personnel through clear, compassionate communication and practical recommendations.

  • Connect therapy to educational goals. Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to develop evidence-based interventions that support functional skills, classroom participation, and access to education.

  • Provide individualized services. Deliver direct occupational therapy or supervise appropriately licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in implementing therapy plans and IEP goals.

  • Use progress to guide decisions. Maintain accurate records, collect and analyze student data, and use findings to adjust interventions and inform ongoing service planning.

  • Advocate and collaborate. Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to coordinate support and promote student progress.

What You’ll Bring

  • A master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

  • An active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (TBOTE).

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Bilingual skills are preferred, but not required.
