Help Students Communicate, Connect, and Participate.

Helping a student ask for help, share an idea, or join a conversation can make a meaningful difference in their school day. At Candor Consulting & Diagnostics, your work supports that progress through purposeful practice, encouragement, and collaboration.

We’re hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Join a team that values your contributions, supports your professional growth, and understands that your life outside work matters, too.

Why Join Candor?

You invest your time and talent in helping students succeed. Here’s how we invest in you:

  • Competitive hourly pay: Starting at $38.00 per hour, with compensation for all time worked.

  • Comprehensive benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options for eligible employees.

  • Support for your future: A 401(k) plan with matching contributions for eligible employees.

  • Professional growth: Mentorship opportunities and professional development reimbursement to help you strengthen your skills.

  • Referral rewards: Earn up to $1,000 in referral bonuses when you help us connect with talented professionals.

  • A supportive team: Work with professionals who value collaboration, student progress, and the skills you bring.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You’ll help students practice communication skills that support learning, relationships, and participation in school. You will:

  • Put therapy plans into practice. Implement speech-language therapy activities and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals developed by your supervising SLP.

  • Make practice engaging. Use supervisor-approved activities and materials to help students practice targeted speech and language skills.

  • Support skills beyond therapy sessions. Carry out assigned activities that help students use newly learned communication skills in classroom routines and other appropriate settings.

  • Collect accurate progress data. Document student performance, maintain organized service records, and share observations with your supervising SLP to inform ongoing planning.

  • Prepare for effective sessions. Create and organize therapy materials and prepare lesson activities based on the supervising SLP’s treatment program and approval.

  • Collaborate and continue learning. Participate in required supervision, apply feedback, and coordinate with your supervising SLP and school staff to support consistent implementation of student plans.

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher with coursework that meets Texas SLPA licensing requirements.

  • An active Texas Assistant in Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

  • Knowledge of speech and language development, therapy activities, and student progress documentation.

  • The ability to follow SLP-developed therapy plans, collect accurate data, and maintain organized records.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and apply supervisory feedback.

  • Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
